About the role
We are seeking an experienced New Zealand Registered Dietitian to join our friendly and collaborative Dietetics team in Dunedin, to cover a period of parental leave.
This varied clinical role encompasses, outpatient clinics, community dietetics, including home visits and liaison with community services, inpatient rehabilitation, specialist multidisciplinary team (MDT) input and outpatient services. About you
We are looking for a motivated, enthusiastic and adaptable clinician who is passionate about dietetic care and committed to putting patients and whānau at the centre of everything they do.
You will bring:
- Recent clinical dietetic experience, ideally across acute, outpatient and/or community settings.
- The ability to confidently manage a general outpatient caseload alongside other clinical responsibilities.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise and manage competing demands.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills to support effective partnerships with patients, whānau and the wider MDT.
- A commitment to improving health literacy, providing patient education and supporting sustainable behaviour change.
- A collaborative approach, with the flexibility and initiative to contribute across a variety of clinical settings.
Ideally, you will have three or more years of recent clinical experience, including acute care, community-based dietetics and/or rehabilitation. Dietitian Prescriber endorsement and experience are highly desirable, alongside the confidence to apply advanced clinical knowledge to patient care.
What we offer
You will be joining a small, supportive Dietetics team working across our Dunedin sites, with opportunities for professional development, clinical supervision and collaboration with colleagues across a range of specialties.
Depending on your experience and scope of practice, there may also be opportunities to contribute to the supervision and development of early-career dietitians and the teaching and supervision of Master of Dietetics students.
If you are an organised, self-motivated and clinically capable Dietitian who enjoys variety, values teamwork and can confidently manage a busy caseload,
