• Healthcare Assistant (0.9 FTE fixed term part time)
• Ward 4A/B General Medical
• Taranaki Base Hospital, New Plymouth

About the Team/Service/ Location

We are seeking an enthusiastic individual to join our team. Ideal candidates must be comfortable with working on a rostered and rotating basis. Furthermore, will have:

• A Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker qualification
• A desire to complete Healthcare Assistant Merit levels
• Recent experience (preferably in a hospital setting)
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work within the multidisciplinary team
• Excellent time management skills

About you

Wards 4A and 4B provide acute inpatient medical care for adults with a diverse range of complex and often rapidly changing health needs. Our multidisciplinary team delivers compassionate, patient-centred care 24 hours a day, supporting patients and their whānau from admission through to discharge.

Our nurses provide care across a broad range of medical specialties, including:

• General Medicine
• Cardiology
• Respiratory Medicine
• Renal Medicine
• Neurology and Neurosurgery
• Haematology and Oncology
