Registered Nurse - Surgical Ward 3C

- Part-time position to cover Parental Leave 0.8 FTE rostered Monday Sunday

About the Role
Provide high-quality surgical nursing care within a specialised ward supporting gynaecology, breast, and acute surgical patients. Working in a fast-paced environment, you will apply strong clinical skills to assess, plan, and deliver care while collaborating closely with the multidisciplinary team to ensure safe and effective patient outcomes.
This role is offered as a fixed term, part-time contract for up to 12 months.

Ward 3C at Tauranga Hospital is a specialised surgical ward delivering care to patients across gynaecology, breast, and general surgical pathways. The team is experienced, supportive, and focused on delivering high standards of patient centered care. Nurses work alongside a multidisciplinary team in a dynamic clinical environment that values collaboration, learning, and continuous improvement.

About You
You will be a capable and confident Registered Nurse with a strong background in acute surgical nursing. You will bring sound clinical judgement, communicate effectively, and work well within a team to deliver high-quality care. Your experience within gynaecology and breast care settings supports your ability to manage complex patient needs, and your approach reflects a commitment to safe, patient centered care.
What you will bring:
- Current NZNC registration and Annual Practicing Certificate
- Minimum of two years experience in acute nursing
- Specialist knowledge in gynaecology and breast care
- Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
- Effective communication and teamwork within a multidisciplinary environment
- Commitment to delivering high quality, patient centered care
