About the Role
The Clinical Records Department at Gisborne Hospital is looking for a motivated and reliable Clinical Records Clerk to join our friendly and hardworking team.
This is an excellent opportunity to play an important part in supporting patient care across our organisation. You will help ensure clinical information is managed accurately, securely, and efficiently, enabling healthcare teams to access the information they need, when they need it.
Your responsibilities will include a variety of clinical records functions such as:
- Managing, retrieving and filing clinical records
- Accurate data entry and maintenance of patient information systems
- Scanning and processing digital and physical health records
- Responding to requests for clinical records from internal stakeholders
- Maintaining the confidentiality, integrity and security of patient information
- Supporting the day-to-day operation of the Clinical Records Department
This role combines administrative tasks with physical filing and records management activities and offers an excellent opportunity to begin or further your career within healthcare administration.

About you
We are looking for someone who is organised, customer-focused and enjoys working in a fast-paced environment.

Desirable
- Previous administration, customer service, or records management experience
- Experience working within a large organisation
- Familiarity with filing systems and document management processes
- Experience using electronic records or information management systems
- Knowledge of the Privacy Act and Health Information Privacy Code
