About the role
Starship Child Health is the leading provider of paediatric health care in Aotearoa (New Zealand) and the South Pacific, delivering whānau centred care to infants, children, young people and their whānau (family) in hospital and in the community. Our Developmental Paediatric service works within a holistic perspective and in close collaboration with other professionals and agencies to ensure that children and their families receive the best care available. We have strong links and active liaison with other providers at a regional level that involves working closely with our colleagues across the Metro-Auckland.
We have an opportunity for an experienced Developmental Paediatrician to join our service, working 0.4 FTE (16 hours per week). This is a permanent position.
You will join our dedicated Developmental team who together are driven by providing high quality clinical care based at Starship Hospital.
You will participate in all aspects of our clinical service including teaching. There are opportunities for clinical research and collaboration with the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, University of Auckland. We have a strong philosophy of quality improvement and innovation in healthcare delivery, to which you will contribute.

About You
Applicants should hold a FRACP, or equivalent specialist qualification. You should have appropriate experience and training to provide care in a tertiary developmental paediatric team.
You will have vocational training with FRACP in Community Child Health, or be working towards FRACP in Community Child Health and hold at least the equivalent of the Fellowship of the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. You will be eligible for specialist registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (https://www.mcnz.org.nz).
