About the Role
We are currently seeking an Assistant Co-ordinator for the Allied Health Therapy Assistant workforce at Auckland City Hospital, Auckland District Health Board. This leadership and clinical role are primarily responsible for overseeing and co-ordinating the Allied Health Therapy Assistant workforce. Allied Health Therapy Assistants work under the direction and delegation of registered health professionals, including Physiotherapists and Occupational Therapists. They support the delivery of patient care and help maintain a safe and supportive working environment across a range of clinical services at Auckland City Hospital. This position offers the opportunity to further develop your leadership and management skills while supporting the growth of our Allied Health Therapy Assistant service.
About the Team/Service/ Location
We have a supportive Allied Health team based at Auckland Hospital. You will receive onboarding and orientation to our ward area/s with support from our therapists.

About you
- You will demonstrate great initiative skill and have the ability to relate well to others
- Your ability to work collaboratively within a team environment and attention to detail, organised and systematic approach will be imperative to be successful in this role
- You will demonstrate flexibility and adaptability within the role- supporting Therapy Assistant caseload
- You have a sound understanding of a delegation model of work within the health care setting
- Proficiency in Word and Excel is essential
