About the Role
Are you seeking a senior expert nursing role supporting evidence-based, culturally safe care?
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS) IV Therapy works across the organisation acting in the role of expert practitioner, educator, consultant, researcher, change agent and leader in the pursuit of clinical excellence and improved health outcomes for Health NZ Te Whatu Ora Taranaki patients. The CNS role models quality nursing practice and is accountable for facilitating evidence-based practice standards, policy and guidelines development, fostering education and research, and contributing to the strategic direction of the organisation.

About you:
- New Zealand Registered Nurse with a current Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Masters degree or PG Diploma and working towards masters qualification completion.
- Up-to-date Nursing Portfolio at expert level

- Expert level advanced assessment skills and care planning ability, clinical reasoning and judgement
- Leadership & change management skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Effective coaching & mentoring skills
- Quality improvement practice.
- Research skills
- Policy and guideline development
- Education & training / programme development skills.
Experience
- At least five years post graduate nursing experience in an acute health care setting
- At least two years experience with acute IV therapy, central venous devices and cannulation skills
Multi-disciplinary clinical teaching
Quality Improvement processes and principles
