About the Role
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator within the Acute Stroke and Neurology team, you will play a pivotal role in coordinating patient care, clinical resources, and workforce activities to ensure safe, efficient, and high quality service delivery. Working closely with nursing, medical, and allied health teams, you will provide clinical leadership, support patient flow, and offer expert clinical guidance to staff across the service.
This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Registered Nurse who enjoys leading from the front, making a meaningful difference to patient outcomes, and supporting the development of others. You will have the opportunity to influence service delivery, contribute to quality improvement initiatives, and help shape a positive and collaborative clinical environment while caring for patients with complex neurological and stroke related conditions.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Our Acute Stroke and Neurology team provides specialist care for patients with stroke and neurological conditions across the region. The team is committed to delivering high quality, patient centred care and works collaboratively across disciplines to achieve the best possible outcomes for patients and whānau.
Based in Hastings, you will join a supportive and experienced team that values clinical excellence, continuous improvement, and a strong culture of teamwork.

About you
As a Clinical Nurse Coordinator, you will bring strong clinical expertise, leadership skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional patient care.
- Current registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate
- At least three years of recent and relevant clinical nursing experience
- A minimum proficient level Professional Development Recognition Programme portfolio
- Demonstrated ability to lead, collaborate, and work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
- Strong time management, communication, and problem solving skills
- IV certification and a commitment to ongoing professional development
- Experience applying Te Tiriti o Waitangi principles in practice
