About the Role
We are looking for an experienced Medical Laboratory Scientist with great Quality and IT skills who is up for a challenge; ready to sidestep the status quo for a new, memorable experience!
In this role you will be the Quality Officer/IT Super User for Anatomical Pathology and Perinatal services.
You will be responsible for supporting the service SUM and Section Leads on process improvements and departmental performance regarding Quality and IT requirements.
You will be the first point of contact for all Quality and IT related issues and liaise between:
- The Quality, Compliance and Standardisation Group
- Lab Information Systems Team
- IT Helpdesk
- Department Clinical and Technical Team
- External Vendors
About you
To be successful in this role you will have the following skills and attributes:
- Qualified Medical Laboratory Scientist registered with the Medical Sciences Council of NZ and hols a current APC.
- Previous experience in Histological/Cytological techniques is preferred.
- A methodical and organised approach to work with a keen focus on accuracy and data quality.
- Good knowledge of the ISO15189 standards.
- Excellent written and verbal communication.
- Flexibility to suit the service demands with the ability to prioritise and deliver to deadlines.
- Working knowledge of computer-based systems within the context of a Medical Laboratory.
