Health or Clinical Psychologist- Diabetes Service Psychologist

We are looking for a NZ registered Health/Clinical Psychologist to join our Diabetes Service at Waitematā. You will be placed amongst a highly skilled and supportive multi-disciplinary team, who work collaboratively, and are passionate about making a difference in the lives of our patients and their whānau.

About the Role
You will provide specialist psychological assessment and evidence-based interventions for people receiving care through the Diabetes Service, with a particular focus on young adults. The role supports patients and their family/whānau to overcome psychological and emotional barriers to diabetes management, enhancing wellbeing, treatment engagement, and overall health outcomes.

About the Team/Service/ Location
The Diabetes Team have two primary locations one at Waitakere Hospital, the other at North Shore Hospital so it is anticipated that you will need to travel across both sites.
About you
To successfully meet the requirements of this role you will need to have:
- Minimum of Master or Doctoral Post graduate degree (or its recognised equivalent) in Health Psychology or Clinical Psychology,
- Registration with the New Zealand Psychologist Board as a Registered Psychologist
- Current Annual Practicing Certificate (APC)
- Relevant post graduate experience working in a health setting
- A goal orientated and outcome focused approach
- Commitment to achieving equity, working in partnership, and demonstrating excellence in whānau-centred care
