Neurodevelopmental Coordinator - Child Health

About the Role

As a Neurodevelopmental Coordinator, you will ensure a coordinated approach to provision of services from triage to discharge for children in Northland with neurodevelopmental conditions and/or those at risk of a developmental delay.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide clinical guidance and coordination of referrals into the Child Development Service (CDS) from triage to discharge.
• Provide post-diagnosis coordination for children in Northland that receive a new neurodevelopmental diagnosis including those children who have received a diagnosis of Autism.
• Quality Improvement

This role covers the Northland region, with some flexibility of where Northland you would like to be based.

About you

You will bring strong engagement, communication and relationship building skills as well as understanding and relating to Tamariki, whānau emotions and experiences.

• Recognised tertiary degree based allied health or nursing qualification profession specific
• New Zealand Registration and current annual practising certificate with responsible authority
• Experience preferably in Paediatrics and/or community-based services
• Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team
• Full drivers licence (as travel is required throughout the community)

Whilst not essential, candidates that have previous leadership experience and/or relevant training in this area are desired.
