About the Role
Kaikōura Health Te Ha O Te Ora are looking for Registered Nurses to join their wonderful rural team! These roles will suit experienced Registered Nurses who display a caring and flexible approach to patient care. You will enjoy working within a close-knit team of healthcare professionals, while also working autonomously as you support and manage patient's health and wellbeing in both the long-term care and the medical acute areas.
This role will cover a wide variety of nursing duties including acute and emergency care, palliative care, respite care, day procedures including infusions and providing support to the independent midwife in our birthing unit; along with providing care to our residents in the Rest Home.
This is an excellent opportunity to expose yourself to a variety of clinical conditions you may not otherwise see if you were in a large hospital setting.

Role 1: Casual contract, you will need to be available to provide cover across all shifts including nights and weekends.
Role 2: 0.9FTE (36 hours per week) fixed-term contract covering parental leave from 05/10/2026 to 04/10/2027. Shifts rostered across Monday - Sunday, morning, afternoon and nights.
About You
- New Zealand Healthcare experience is essential
- Registered with the Nursing Council of New Zealand with a current APC and no restrictions
- Rural generalist nursing experience is an advantage
- Knowledge of Te Reo Māori, Tikanga Māori, Te Ao Māori is desirable
