About the role
We are seeking motivated and adaptable Registered Nurses to join our Casual Nursing Pool at Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Tairāwhiti.
As a Casual RN, you will have the opportunity to work across a variety of clinical settings, providing safe, effective, and patient-centred care to meet the needs of our patients and whānau. This is a great opportunity to broaden your clinical experience while maintaining flexibility in your work schedule.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Health NZ, Tairawhiti is a secondary care facility situated on the East Coast, comprising of urban and rural communities covering a large area, and serves a population of approximately 45,000. Gisbornes relative isolation is its charm; however larger cities are only a quick flight away. The Hospital is located within a 5 minute drive of the town centre on the fringe of Gisborne City.
We provide a comprehensive range of services in our 110 bed hospital, which includes:
- Neonatal
- ICU/CCU
- Medical/Surgical
- Orthopaedic/Rehabilitation
- Paediatrics
- Midwifery
- Renal Services
- Mental Health
- Emergency
- Theatre

About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- A current New Zealand Annual Practising Certificate (APC)
- Eligibility to work in New Zealand
- Flexibility to work a variety of shifts
- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Professional integrity, critical thinking skills, and the ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment
