About the Role
We are seeking an Administration Team Leader who is solutions-focused and possesses highly developed office management, organisational, and leadership skills to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the administration teams supporting Adult Community Mental Health Services across Rotorua and Taupō.
Based in Rotorua, this role will require regular travel to Taupō as needed. As the Administration Team Leader, you will provide effective leadership and support to a team of eight (administrators, receptionists, and clinical typists), empowering them to deliver high-quality administrative services. There are five administrators in Rotorua and three administrators in Taupo. Working closely with the management team, you will help ensure service priorities are achieved and that systems and processes are implemented consistently across both sites.
This pivotal role is integral to the effective and seamless functioning of the Adult Community Mental Health Services administration team. You will work collaboratively with the Clinical Nurse Managers and wider leadership team to support service delivery and continuous improvement.

About you
The successful person will be required to undertake duties associated with the administration of our service, primarily in the reception area. The administration front desk is at the forefront of all our client and visitor interactions and an excellent opportunity to enhance the patient experience. The role encompasses many different tasks with induction and training to assist in the development and enhancement of your skills and knowledge.
Your strengths will include:
- Working in a health environment with an understanding of service delivery.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, complemented by exceptional organisational skills.
- Strong administrative skills, including advanced MS Office suite.
- Ability to work under pressure, often with competing demands and deadlines.
- Keenness and general willingness to help out with a can-do attitude.
- Proven leadership skills (leading through change - desireable)
- Organised, resilient and have the ability to walk alongside people wherever their journey.
- Solution-focused with highly development office management and organisation skills.
- Effective time manager, with a demonstrated ability to prioritise forward plan, make sound decisions and use initiative.
