About the Role
The Radiology team at Southland Hospital in Invercargill are searching for experienced Sonographers to join their team. With part-time and full-time opportunities available you really can chose your own hours of work!
You will work across all areas of ultrasound – general, vascular, paediatric, obstetric, and every other aspect you can think of. You will also have opportunities to assist Radiologists with interventional procedures.
As a team who prides ourselves in the work we do, and the care provided to our patients, quality is at the centre of our service and there is an expectation that you will participate in quality initiatives as part of your role. You will participate in an out of hours on call roster shared equally amongst your Sonographer colleagues.

About the Team/Service/Location
Our Radiology Service provides to a population of approximately 310,000 people over the lower South Island, our work is predominately emergency and inpatient cases.

About You
We are searching for a qualified, patient focused sonographer with strong technical skills and a professional, compassionate approach.
What you will bring:
- A strong team player with the energy to make a positive impact on patients and colleagues, you'll enjoy a varied workload, competitive pay, and an inclusive, supportive culture.
- You'll need a recognised ultrasound qualification, current practising certificate, and eligibility for registration with the NZMRTB, along with strong written and spoken English.
- Competency in te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori—or a commitment to developing these.
- Experience applying Te Tiriti principles, Mātauranga Māori, and Kaupapa Māori approaches in healthcare is desirable.

Salary Range
The salary for this position will be in accordance with the APEX Sonographers Multi-Employer Collective Agreement Sonographer Scale, and its between step 1 ($75,144) and Step 11 (137,710) per annum pro-rata.
