About the Role
Join Southland Hospital's growing Radiology team and work across a full range of modalities including CT, MRI, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Fluoroscopy, and General X-ray.
You'll be involved in varied work across emergency, trauma, theatre, ICU, paediatrics, and outpatient services, with opportunities for training and development across multiple specialties.
You will operate imaging equipment safely and efficiently, produce high quality diagnostic images, ensure patient comfort throughout procedures, and maintain a clean, safe environment. You will work closely with Radiologists, clinicians and wider healthcare teams, ensuring accurate imaging is provided in a timely manner to support patient diagnosis and treatment.

About the Team/Service/Location
Southland Hospital is a modern, purpose-built facility with fully digital radiology services and predominantly Philips equipment. We also support the training of Radiology students, creating a strong teaching and learning environment.
We operate a 24/7 rotating roster to provide continuous care to our community.

About You
We are searching for confident, skilled Medical Imaging Technologists who are committed to patient centred care.
What you will bring:
- Current registration and Annual Practising Certificate with the Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB).
- Strong commitment to patient safety, comfort and high-quality imaging.
- Clear and effective communication skills with patients and colleagues.
- Ability to work independently and within a team.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
Salary range
This role belongs to the APEX/DHBs Medical Imaging Technologists Collective Agreement and falls between Step 1 ($77,087 p.a) and Step 7 ($107,600 p.a pro rata) of the Medical Imaging Technologists scale.
