About the Role
The Radiology team at Dunedin Hospital in Dunedin are searching for experienced Sonographers to join their team in permanent full-time roles.
This role requires an experienced, approachable, and professional individual with a strong team focus and the ability to connect well with both patients and staff. You will contribute to positive change within the department and work in an inclusive, collaborative way. Excellent communication skills and a genuine team-oriented approach are essential.

About the Team/Service/Location
Our Ultrasound Department uses modern technology and offers a varied caseload in a supportive, team-focused environment. Strong time management, decision-making skills, and the ability to work under pressure are essential.
You will work within a close-knit team committed to clinical excellence and patient-centred care, across all ultrasound areas including general, vascular, paediatric, and obstetric, as well as assisting with interventional procedures alongside Radiologists.

About You
We are searching for a qualified, patient focused sonographers with strong technical skills and a professional, compassionate approach.
What you will bring:
- A strong team player with the energy to make a positive impact on patients and colleagues, you'll enjoy a varied workload, competitive pay, and an inclusive, supportive culture.
- You will need to be a qualified Sonographer registered with the NZ Medical Radiation Technologist Board (NZMRTB) and hold a current Practicing Certificate.
- Competency in te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori—or a commitment to developing these.
- Experience applying Te Tiriti principles, Mātauranga Māori, and Kaupapa Māori approaches in healthcare is desirable.
Salary Range
The salary for this position will be in accordance with the APEX Sonographers Multi-Employer Collective Agreement Sonographer Scale, and its between step 1 ($120,819) and Step 5 (137,522) per annum pro-rata.
