Salary Band – $81,000 - $106,000 p.a prorata + KiwiSaver

- Fixed term parental leave until June 2027

About the role
Applications are invited for an exciting role in our nurse-led, patient-centred clinic that provides patients with a high quality, pre-operative anaesthetic assessment at Dunedin Hospital. The objective of APAC is to prepare and optimise patients requiring elective surgery to ensure they are well informed and physically fit to be able to undergo anaesthesia.
- High quality preoperative anaesthetic patient assessment.
- Prepare and optimise patients requiring elective surgery.
- Ensure patients are well informed and physically fit to be able to undergo anaesthesia.
- Collaborate with the anaesthetic team to ensure appropriate patient assessments are carried out as per established anaesthesia guidelines.
- Collaborate with all services involved in the patient's journey from Primary health to post-operative care.
- Practice will be under the direction of the APAC Clinical Nurse Specialist (CNS).

About you
- Current registration with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC, with the right to work in New Zealand
- Advanced Heath Assessment (or equivalent)
- Proven post–graduate experience in a surgical setting
- Ability to work autonomously.
- Demonstrated competence with computers
- Demonstrated ability to problem solve,

Salary Range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the RN Pay Scale, between step 2 $81,683 and step 7 $106,739 p.a dependant on relevant experience.
