About the Role
As the Manager Integrated Health Services, Northern Region, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across Buller and Reefton, driving the development of an Integrated Family Health Service (IFHS).
In this role, you will lead the transformation of services to a model that places primary care at its centre, supported by an acute stabilisation unit, community mental health, and allied health services. You will be responsible for ensuring the delivery of sustainable, high-quality, and person-centred care, while leading workforce planning, operational management, and service integration.
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with clinical and operational teams to embed the Rural Generalist Model, strengthen service collaboration, and ensure continuity of care for the local community.

About the Role
As the Manager Integrated Health Services - Northern Region, you will provide strategic and operational leadership across Buller and Reefton, driving the development of an Integrated Family Health Service (IFHS).

Key deliverables of the role include:
- Leadership: Provide clear, visible, and values-driven leadership, fostering a high-performing and engaged team environment
- Service transformation: Lead the development and implementation of a rural generalist model that responds to community needs and strengthens integrated care delivery
- Quality and sustainability: Ensure services are high-quality, person-centred, and operationally sustainable, meeting all relevant performance and quality standards
- Integration of services: Strengthen collaboration across primary care, acute services, mental health, and allied health to deliver seamless patient care
- Continuity of care: Ensure safe, consistent, and uninterrupted delivery of patient services across the Northern Region
- Regional collaboration: Work in partnership with teams across the West Coast to ensure consistency, shared learning, and continuous improvement
This is a hands-on leadership role where you will work closely with clinical and operational teams to embed change and deliver improved health outcomes for the community.

About you
As an experienced senior leader, you will bring:
- A relevant tertiary qualification
- Extensive (15 years +) senior management experience, including leading complex services and/or transformation initiatives
- Proven experience in primary and/or community health service delivery
- Strong financial and business acumen
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through change and deliver operational outcomes
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- An understanding of the New Zealand health system and quality frameworks (desirable)
- A commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and culturally responsive practice
