We have an opportunity for an experienced nurse to further their career, focusing on education, training and development within a passionate Interventional Radiology team.
About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated and innovative Registered Nurse to apply.
The Nurse Educator is responsible for:
- Promoting, facilitating and providing clinical education to maximise health care delivery, enhance patient outcomes, promote clinical excellence and evidenced-based professional nursing practice.
- Professional development of nursing staff in the Interventional Radiology scope. This includes teaching and supporting the orientation of RNs to IR, contributing to hospital wide development including SFYP program for new graduate Nurses as well as the leadership of nursing and patient focused initiatives.
- Training other disciplines and professional development assessments.
This is a permanent full time (1.0 FTE ) role working predominantly Monday to Friday.
This full time role provides support to all Interventional Radiology areas. We are looking for a Registered Nurse with a passion for education, preferably on a post graduate pathway.

About You
To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone who :
- Is an expert/senior nurse with relevant IR clinical experience and preferably already have or are working towards a Postgraduate Certificate/Diploma or Masters in specialty nursing practice.
- Has a sound knowledge of clinical teaching/learning methods and well-developed communication and critical thinking skills.
- Has the ability to lead initiatives and work well with multi-disciplinary teams
- Has a current NZ APC and an excellent clinical practice background in Interventional Radiology for a minimum of 2 years.
