About the Role
In this position you'll be a pivotal member of the service with both reception and administrative responsibilities. You'll be a confident communicator – both written and oral, and comfortable dealing with patients both in person and on the phone; with a strong IT skill set and the capacity to quickly pick up software programmes unique to the hospital environment. The administration component of this role shouldn't be underestimated however, with the breadth of clinical procedures offered in our service variety is guaranteed!
For the right person this is an interesting and rewarding role. As one of three Administrators, your duties will include front desk reception, booking patients for surgery and working closely with our clinical staff.
The hours of work for this position will be eight-hour shifts Monday to Friday between 0700-1530 hours or 1000 -1830 hours to ensure good reception cover. As you'll be dealing with confidential patient material, we would expect you to adhere to the ‘code of conduct' and have a mature outlook towards your work.

About you
You must be a team player with very good communication skills, who can demonstrate flexibility and understands and appreciates the need for attention to detail. You must also be comfortable interacting with a variety of people and attending to issues that arise – usually at the same time! We ask that in your application you demonstrate how your previous work experience in administration and/or customer service roles has honed your ability to prioritise and juggle tasks, within demanding timeframes.
Excellent computer skills are essential and database experience using iPM is preferred but full training will be given to the successful applicant to ensure that you are comfortable and confident with our systems.
