About the Role
Te Uru Rauhī – Mental Health and Addiction Services at MidCentral has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and enthusiastic Professional Administrator to join our team.
Our services are moving towards a wellness and recovery‑focused approach that encourages interconnectedness — socially, spiritually, physically, and environmentally — and supports the aspiration to achieve waiora, where individuals, whānau, and communities can flourish.
In this diverse and challenging role, you will provide high‑quality administrative and secretarial support to leaders and services, contributing to the effective delivery of projects and initiatives. Working alongside the Administration Lead and Locality Service Managers, you will support both community and clinical services for people experiencing mental health and addiction challenges.
This role requires excellent organisation, strong communication skills, and the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast‑paced environment.

Mental Health and Addiction Services (MHAS) provide a range of community and clinical services across the MidCentral region. You will be part of a diverse and dedicated team committed to recovery‑focused, person‑centred care.

About you
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- Experience working within an administration or office support environment
- Excellent computer literacy, particularly with Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Teams
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with senior leaders, clinicians, and external stakeholders
- Excellent word‑processing skills, including a strong command of grammar and spelling
- A positive, flexible, and team‑focused approach, with strong organisational and time‑management skills
