Project Coordinator

About the Role
As a Project Coordinator, you'll play a key role in supporting the delivery of health facility projects across the East Te Manawa Taki Region. Working within the Infrastructure and Investment Group (IIG), you'll assist Project Managers in planning, coordinating, and tracking project activities.
You'll help ensure projects are delivered on time and within scope by managing documentation, coordinating meetings, tracking milestones, and supporting procurement and compliance processes. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys working collaboratively across teams.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The IIG team are focused on delivering high impact infrastructure investments that support the transformation of New Zealand's health system.
Giving support, oversight and assurance across projects and programmes, the team understand that safe, fit for purpose health facilities, sites and equipment are essential for a well-functioning health system that improves the health of all New Zealanders.
About you
You're organised, proactive, and detail-oriented. You've worked in project environments where multitasking and clear communication are key. You're confident using project management tools and systems, and you enjoy supporting others to achieve shared goals.
You bring a collaborative mindset, a willingness to learn, and a strong sense of accountability. You understand the importance of delivering infrastructure that meets the needs of patients, staff, and communities.
You will bring:
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience with 2+ years' experience in a project coordination or administration role
- Strong organisational and time management skills
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Familiarity with project management methodologies and tools
- Ability to manage competing priorities and meet deadlines
- Understanding of Te Tiriti o Waitangi and Pae Ora (Healthy Futures) Act 2022
