Lakes Mental Health & Addictions is seeking enthusiastic Child and Adolescent Psychiatrists to provide clinical care, guidance and leadership within our integrated Child and Youth Mental Health Service (CYMHS). About the Role

You will be responsible for managing a dynamic and diverse range of Child & Adolescence psychiatry cases, reflecting the complexity seen across modern health services. This opportunity ensures continuous professional development and the chance to apply your full spectrum of skills.

This provides a predictable schedule, giving you time to explore the whenua (land); the mountains and lakes, as well as the cultural and geothermal experiences of the Rotorua and Taupō regions.

About you

• The complexity of cases requires a solid foundation across general psychiatry, allowing you to provide comprehensive and holistic care for our Tamariki (babies), and Rangatahi (young people), and their whanau (family).
• You must be eligible for Vocational Registration as a Child Psychiatrist with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ). We welcome international applicants and are ready to assist you through the registration process.
• We value the sharing of knowledge and are looking for someone who enjoys teaching and mentoring colleagues and trainees. The expertise that you will bring is vital in developing the next generation of Mental Health professionals within the Lakes community.
• Must be eligible for, or hold registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand (MCNZ) in a relevant scope of practice.
