About the Role
We are looking for Consultant Anaesthetists who are ready to join our team at Rotorua Hospital. We are a supportive department who meet regularly to share knowledge and keep our clinical attitude aligned.
Out specialist Anaesthetist team offer services across the broad range of specialties that you would expect from a district hospital. From straightforward paediatrics to acute care of the elderly. The standout features of this job include working in a department with a heavy slant towards regional Anaesthesia, and one where we clinically manage our 7 bedded ICU, keeping our broader medical skills fresh.
The Anaesthetic service provides elective day stay services and a Pre-Admission clinic in Taupō Hospital on a weekly basis.

About the Team/Service/ Location
Rotorua Hospital is a busy hospital covering a wide range of regional hospital specialties. Surgical services manage one acute and four elective surgeries a day. The successful applicants would be joining a progressive team of Anaesthetists who pride themselves on high-quality care and expect a standard of excellence.

About you
- Applicants must have completed their specialist training and must be eligible to obtain provisional vocational registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand.
- Experience in Intensive Care Medicine is strongly desirable.
- Formal qualifications in ICU would be extremely attractive to us but are not a requirement.
