About the Role

As a Clinical Nurse Specialist in our Cardiology Service, you will provide high-quality care to patients with cardiovascular conditions. This role offers a structured Educational Development Pathway, supporting your growth from foundational knowledge to expert practice. You will participate in nurse-led clinics, multidisciplinary meetings, and research initiatives, ordering and acknowledging blood results and be accountable for our workload while advancing your professional qualifications, including the prescribing pathway for titration management.

Supervision is provided by the Cardiologist and guidance offered by the Nurse Practitioners

Our Cardiology Service team at Tui Te Ora is dedicated to delivering patient-centered care and fostering professional development. We work collaboratively to provide comprehensive cardiology services to the Gisborne community.

About You

We would love to hear from you if you have:

Current NZ Registered Nurse with 3+ years of experience, preferable in General Medicine or Cardiology

Registration with the Nursing Council of New Zealand and a current Annual Practising Certificate

Are eligible to work in New Zealand

Experience or strong interest in Cardiology/Medical Nursing

Commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi and improving Māori health outcomes

Flexibility, adaptability, and resilience in high-pressure situations

Excellent communication, critical thinking, and teamwork skills
