About the Role
As a Housekeeper in the Wahi Oranga Mental Health department, you will clean internal and external departments in and around Nelson Hospital. Duties involve: cleaning in mental health facilities, clinic rooms, offices and bathroom areas.
The role will suit someone with experience in cleaning/customer service OR someone with no experience but a passion for being part of one of New Zealand's fastest growing sectors and see how a hospital ticks.
In addition to hourly rates, we pay penal rates for evening and weekend work, KiwiSaver and additional payments/time off if you are rostered to work on a public holiday.
This is a permanent, part-time role working 32 hours per fortnight (0.40 FTE) where the working hours are 10.30AM to 7.00PM Saturday to Sunday. No on-call is required.

About you
As a Housekeeper, you must bereliable, have a positive attitude and consistently deliver a high-quality, customer-focused service.
We are looking for an entry level or experienced household staff member to be part of our dedicated team contributing to the hospital running smoothly. You will make our hospital a place where people can get better safely, families can visit in comfort, and staff can do great work in a hygienic and safe environment.
Full training will be provided.
The successful candidate must be eligible to work in New Zealand or hold a valid NZ visa at the time of applying.
