About the Role

We are looking for Intensivists to join our service at Rotorua Hospital and become part of a close knit team. The successful applicant would be responsible for the clinical management of a robust Intensive Care Unit with seven beds, and will be supported by our team of Anaesthetists. 

As our Inaugural Intensivist, you will have a unique opportunity to define your role in collaboration with our Critical Care MDT. Hours, Clinical and Non-Clinical Portfolios will be negotiable and thinking-outside-the-box approaches are welcome. Regular secondments to our tertiary referral centre will be encouraged. The work will be intriguing and the potential is vast!

Rotorua Hospital is a busy district hospital that supports the community across a broad range of regional hospital specialties. We are a supportive and collaborative team, and the successful applicant will be expected to work cohesively with the other departments to support the wider Lakes community and patients we serve.

This service provides Intensive Care Unit and Higher Dependency Unit care to those in need, and so our department is expected to deliver a high quality, compassionate service. If you are an Intensivist that prides itself on excellence, this is the right team for you.
