About the Role:
Cardiac Sonographers are core to our large Cardiac Service, supporting, inpatient, outpatient and interventional services. You will gain further experience or grow your expert skills in an environment that offers variety but also opportunity for development. You will work in a large team within a very large Hospital and Specialist Service and support the growth and development of our pipeline workforce.
About the Team/Service/ Location:
The Cardiology Department provides outpatient and inpatient non-invasive and invasive cardiovascular investigation and treatment for the following:
- Management of acute and chronic coronary syndromes
- Valvular disorders and Rheumatic heart disease
- Temporary and permanent pacing
- Arrhythmias
- Management of Heart failure
The Cardiac Investigation unit operates out of our several sites and provides TTE (adult and paediatric), TOEs / DSE /ESE / contrast and bubble studies.

About you
We are seeking qualified & experienced Cardiac sonographers:
- You must have the relevant tertiary qualifications either NZ or Recognised Overseas Qualifications
- Current registration and practising certificate will be required to practice
- If you currently do not have NZ registration you must be eligible to obtain it through the NZ Medical Radiation Technologists Board (MRTB) or able to register with MRTB*
