The remuneration range for this role is $88,627 to $107,600 and is covered by the collective agreement – Allied, Public Health, Scientific & Technical Collective Agreement

About the Role

This position involves working with consumer groups and the community and is focused in assisting individuals and their families/whanau to deal with the psychosocial impacts of a cancer diagnosis and treatment.

About the Team/Service/ Location

We work collaboratively with the Regional cancer service, and other cancer psychologists and social workers to coordinate assessments and services for those people dealing with a cancer diagnosis.

About the You

• Hold a bachelor’s degree in social work Board and registration with SWRB, and a current APC
• recognised by and registered with the New Zealand Social Work Registration
• Current APC
• Competency with te ao Māori, tikanga, and te reo Māori or a commitment to starting your journey and taking ownership of your learning and growth
• Experience in projects / initiatives which give effect to Te Tiriti principals and frameworks, and the application of Mātauranga Māori and Kaupapa Māori approaches, particularly as they apply in healthcare settings.
