About the Role
Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora Taranaki is seeking a permanent full-time general radiologist to work in our department at Taranaki Base Hospital. You would be working as part of a dynamic team with radiologists, and a wider MDT. Our teamwork is evolving with the intent that we will become part of providing diagnostic excellence not just for the community of Taranaki, but also to the wider New Zealand community through our data and digital connectivity. As a department we offer;
· General X-ray
· CT
· MRI
· Interventional work
· Angiography
· Ultrasound
· Nuclear Medicine
· Fluoroscopy
All modalities are state of the art, with CT, MRI and ultrasound all upgraded in 2022. An integrated regional RIS/PACS is in use.

- Director of Training - Te Whatu Ora Taranaki are in the process of becoming and accredited training facility with the Royal Australian and New Zealand College of Radiology. We are seeking a Consultant Radiologist to lead the training programme.
- Clinical Lead Breast Radiology
- Clinical Lead MRI

About you
You will possess essential skills that include general plain film, ultrasound, CT, and MRI reporting.
Desirable skills would include sub-specialty interest in any of: musculoskeletal MRI; general interventional radiology (no intracranial work); CT colonography; cardiac CT, or nuclear medicine.
Ideally you will either hold vocational registration from the Medical Council of New Zealand or be eligible for vocational registration through having appropriate recognised post-graduate qualifications from another country.
