Registered Nurse - Cardiology Cath Lab Fixed-term

About the role
Join a small, highly skilled team where collaboration, flexibility, and shared responsibility are essential. Nurses in this role work across the cardiac service, providing pre- and post-procedural care as well as supporting patients within the outpatient procedure area and the Cardiac Catheterisation lab. The Dunedin Cath Lab provides cardiac care for Southland and Otago and is the referral centre for five smaller hospitals, including revascularisation, cardiac device therapy, and structural heart treatments.
In this role, you will:
- scrub and circulate for interventional procedures like angiograms and pacemakers
- assist with outpatient cardiology testing such as exercise stress testing
- support patients undergoing cardiac procedures through pre- and post-procedural care
- develop your advanced life support skills
- develop expertise in cardiac rhythm interpretation
- have fun in a supportive team environment.

- current registration (or be working towards) with the New Zealand Nursing Council and a current APC, with the ability to work in New Zealand
- interventional cardiology experience (preferred but not essential)
- the demonstrated ability to work collaboratively with other professionals
- excellent time management, interpersonal, and organisational skills.

Salary range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA and the salary will be in accordance with the RN Pay Scale, between Step 2 ($81,683) and Step 7 ($106,739) per annum pro-rata dependent on relevant experience.
