Emergency Department Registrar

- Salary band: $127,338 - $194,820 (depending on experience)

About the role:
- All major specialties are on site
- ACEM paediatric logbook accreditation
- Dedicated 6-month anaesthetics term available to ED trainees
- The fellowship exam pass rate has been 4/4 over the past 5 years
- EM diploma and certificate supervision (5 certificate graduates in the past 3 years)
- 4 hours per week of protected, consultant-led teaching for all registrars
- 15 hours per day of direct FACEM on-floor supervision
- Rotations to accredited specialty inpatient units available, including paediatrics and neonatal care
- More hands-on experience - your patient, your procedure
About the Team/Service/Location
You will be part of a close-knit team of 9 FACEMs, 10 registrars, 2 MOSS, and 7 senior house officers managing over 39,000 patients annually, including 21% paediatric cases. The department offers a full case mix, including a relatively high level of major trauma.

About you
Our ideal candidate will have:
- a minimum of three years' post-qualification experience, including at least six months of emergency department experience
- registration with the Medical Council of New Zealand or eligibility for general or provisional general registration. You can check your eligibility at the MCNZ website.
It is a requirement of the Medical Council of New Zealand that your qualifications are approved through EPIC.
