About the role
An exciting opportunity exists to support workforce and operational expenditure modelling for clinical activity in the Outpatient Building (OB) and, later, the Inpatient Building (IB). This includes analysis to support production planning for clinic, theatre, and radiology capacity and utilisation in the OB, informing workforce requirements. More broadly, analysis and support for the NDH Benefits Realisation Plan and performance against health targets will help measure our success in realising the benefits of this investment.
Tasks include, but are not limited to he following:
- Assist with the financial and workforce modelling required for the operational commissioning and go-live of the OB and, later, the IB
- Ensure modelling outputs align with model-of-care changes that support the capital investment
- Help lead the development of a whole-of-life capital and operational model for the Southern District to support future decision-making for capital investments
- Provide day-to-day financial monitoring, reporting, advice, and support for the Programme Director
- Develop and compile key business metrics and productivity measures to support reporting and NDH Benefits Realisation Planning

About you
Our ideal candidate will have the following:
- A bachelor's degree in accountancy or a financial field, with a minimum of five years' postgraduate experience
- Experience in a finance or accounting role in a complex project environment, preferably in health
- Experience using Power BI (or similar software) for analysis and reporting
- Costing and project accounting experience
- Demonstrated ability to operate proactively, show initiative, and ensure effective systems are in place to support the role
- Excellent judgement
- Strong relationship-building and management skills
- Ability to deliver under tight deadlines, both independently and as part of a team
- Strong stakeholder communication skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in an often-ambiguous environment
