About the role
The Charge Nurse Manager is responsible for managing service delivery across the unit, including clinical leadership and coordination, operational functions, quality and financial performance, human resource management, quality and risk management, clinical pathway development, and service improvement initiatives throughout the Endocrinology/Diabetes service.
- Provide clinical leadership, coordination, and management
- Mentor staff as they develop their knowledge and skills
- Foster a culture of clinical excellence, innovation, and strategic thinking
- Recruit, lead, educate, and develop both new and existing staff
- Supervise and mentor team members while building strong relationships with internal and external services
- Facilitate clinical practice development within the multidisciplinary team
- Participate in service development planning

About you
- Eligible to work in NZ with a current APC
- Proven clinical credibility and leadership experience in a New Zealand setting
- Hold a current PDRP/QLP or equivalent
- Dynamic personality with excellent communication and time management skills

Salary range
This role is covered by the terms and conditions of the expired NZNO CEA, and the salary will be in accordance with the DSN Pay Scale, Grade 4 - between Step 1 ($126,124) and Step 3 ($138,057) p.a., depending on relevant experience.
