We're looking for a physiotherapist with proven hospital experience to join our Allied Health team at Southland Hospital. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments and can confidently deliver physiotherapy care across a broad range of acute patient groups

Salary range
$94,394 to $110,210 per annum, aligned with the Allied, Public Health, Scientific and Technical Collective Agreement and based on your experience and qualifications.

About the role
We are seeking an experienced physiotherapist to join our Allied Health team in acute wards.
On this role, you will:
- deliver physiotherapy assessments and interventions across acute inpatient wards, such as medical, surgical, orthopaedics, critical care, and ED
- work collaboratively within an interdisciplinary team to optimise patient outcomes and flow
- provide clinical leadership and mentoring to support the development of junior staff
- contribute to service improvement initiatives.
Participation in weekend and on-call rosters is required, with support provided.

About you
To succeed in this role, you will:
- hold a current Annual Practising Certificate with the Physiotherapy Board of New Zealand (essential)
- have four plus years of physiotherapy experience in acute hospital wards, ideally within a health system comparable to New Zealand's (e.g., Australia, UK, Canada)
- demonstrate advanced clinical reasoning and decision-making skills
- be confident working independently in complex cases while supporting team collaboration
- show leadership capability and a proactive approach to continuous improvement
- have (or be eligible for) a full, clean New Zealand driver's licence to partake in the on-call roster.
