We are looking for an experienced energetic Physiotherapist to work in older persons health. This opportunity will start in an inpatient role with the option to work in the community.

Our team is an experienced interdisciplinary rehabilitation team. We value and work hard towards supporting our patients to reach their rehabilitation goals to live their best lives.
About the role:
- You will have the opportunity to develop your knowledge and expertise in rehabilitation, working with older persons with medical, orthopaedic and neurological conditions
- Your role will include supporting teaching and upskilling students, rotational/junior staff and colleagues
- You will perform high-quality physiotherapy assessment and treatment within the IDT to achieve individuals rehabilitation goals
- You will need to work well within an interdisciplinary team and be an active energetic team member willing to take on clinical and quality work
- Prescribe mobility aids and equipment within the parameters of departmental provision guidelines
- Have a clear understanding of ACC and community pathways
- Commit to keeping competencies to support the weekend and on call service across the hospital
About you
It goes without saying that you will have an enthusiasm for physiotherapy and working within a team.
You will also need to demonstrate the following to be successful in this role:
- Excellent communication skills and a natural ability for building trust with others
- Be a Registered Physiotherapist with the New Zealand Physiotherapy Board and hold an Annual Practicing Certificate
- Ideally have at least three years' experience as a qualified Physiotherapist
- Knowledge and experience in rehabilitation or an interest to grow in this area
- Be reliable and have a drive for learning and sharing new skills.
- Have a full and clean NZ driver's licence

Salary range
This role belongs to the PSA Allied, Public Health, Scientific and Technical Multi-Employer Collective Agreement and falls between Step 6 ($100,163 p.a) and Step 9 ($113,300 p.a pro-rata) of the of the Degree-based Allied, Public Health and Technical Pay Scale.
