The Opportunity | Senior Project Manager

Based in Metro Auckland and initially supporting Counties Manukau Health District at Otahuhu, you will lead the delivery of major capital works and infrastructure projects, typically valued at $10 million+.

As the client-side project lead, you will be accountable for project delivery across the full lifecycle, from business case and planning through design, procurement, construction, commissioning, handover, and benefits realisation. You will provide project leadership, governance oversight, commercial management, and stakeholder engagement to ensure successful outcomes.

About You

You are an experienced client-side Senior Project Manager with a proven track record delivering complex building, construction, and infrastructure projects within large organisational environments.

We expect that you will bring:

• Relevant tertiary qualifications in project management, engineering, construction management, architecture, or a related discipline, supported by a recognised certification such as PMP, PRINCE2, MSP, RegPM, or equivalent.
• 10+ years' experience delivering major capital, infrastructure, engineering, or construction projects.
• Proven delivery of projects valued at $10 million+ through the full project lifecycle.
• Strong governance, commercial, contract, and risk management capability.
• Experience managing consultants, contractors, and multidisciplinary project teams.
• Excellent stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with senior leaders and governance groups.
• Sound knowledge of New Zealand construction, procurement, compliance, and project delivery practices.
• Strong client-side ownership and delivery experience is essential.
