About the Role
As a Management & Capital Accountant, you will deliver high-quality financial management, business partnering, and capital accounting support across a diverse portfolio of healthcare services.
Working closely with operational leaders, clinical directors, and managers, you will support financial sustainability through robust reporting, insightful analysis, and informed decision-making.
This varied role will see you:
- Partner with service leaders to develop budgets and forecasts
- Monitor financial performance and investigate variances
- Provide strategic financial advice to support decision-making
- Support and manage capital projects and business cases
- Maintain the Fixed Asset Register and oversee capital expenditure processes
- Ensure compliance with financial policies and accounting standards
Your ability to build strong relationships and translate complex financial information into meaningful insights will be key to delivering improved outcomes for both services and the communities they support.
About you
As a finance professional, you'll bring strong analytical capability, excellent stakeholder management skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
- A relevant tertiary qualification in finance, accounting, commerce, or a related discipline.
- At least three years' experience in management accounting, financial analysis, business partnering, or a similar finance role.
- Experience in budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting, and performance monitoring.
- Knowledge of capital accounting, asset management, and financial systems (e.g., Oracle or similar ERP platforms)
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with operational and clinical stakeholders.
