About the Role
The Clinical Nurse Specialist (OH) works across designated districts within Health New Zealand, providing expert clinical advice and supporting the development and implementation of occupational health policies and processes. The role spans advanced clinical practice, education, consultation, and ongoing service and quality improvement.
About you
You are a Registered Nurse with a current practising certificate, a tertiary qualification in Occupational Health, and at least five years' experience in the field. As a designated senior nurse within the PDRP framework, you bring advanced clinical knowledge, sound judgement, and a strong commitment to professional excellence.
Your technical background includes audiometry, spirometry, and current Authorised Vaccinator status, giving you the knowledge to guide, advise, and where appropriate, mentor others delivering these services.
You communicate well across all levels of an organisation, with strong verbal and written skills and a solid understanding of relevant legislation and health and safety requirements. Your advice and practice reflect current standards and best practice.
You have proven adult teaching and presentation skills, and are comfortable delivering education sessions and presenting occupational health matters to a range of audiences, supporting safer and healthier workplaces.
