About the Role
As a Senior Advisor – Asset Data and Information, you will play a key role in enabling smarter, data-driven decision-making across Health New Zealand's national asset portfolio.
This is an influential role where you will lead the development and continuous improvement of asset data frameworks, standards, and reporting tools that support asset optimisation and performance outcomes. You will provide expert analysis and advice to inform strategic investment decisions and support the delivery of national asset management initiatives.
You will contribute to the implementation of asset management systems and ensure the integrity, governance, and effective use of asset data across the organisation. In addition, you'll support critical organisational priorities, including responses to information requests and emergency management activities.
About the Team/Service/Location
The IIG team are focused on delivering high impact infrastructure investments that support the transformation of New Zealand's health system.
Giving support, oversight and assurance across projects and programmes, the team understand that safe, fit for purpose health facilities, sites and equipment are essential for a well-functioning health system that improves the health of all New Zealanders.
About you
You are a highly capable and analytical professional with a passion for improving outcomes through data, insights, and continuous improvement.
You bring a strong understanding of data governance, asset management, and performance reporting, along with the ability to translate complex information into practical, meaningful insights. You're comfortable operating both strategically and operationally - leading initiatives while also delivering detailed technical work.
You build strong relationships across a wide range of stakeholders and thrive in collaborative environments. You're proactive, solutions-focused, and motivated by work that contributes to better outcomes for communities across Aotearoa.
You will bring:
- Experience developing and implementing data frameworks, standards, and reporting tools
- Strong analytical skills and the ability to work with complex datasets
- Experience providing high-quality advice to support strategic decision-making
- Proven ability to build and maintain effective stakeholder relationships
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- A relevant tertiary qualification and/or equivalent experience
- A collaborative mindset and willingness to share knowledge and support team success
