Finance Business Partner - Waitemata

About the Role
As a Finance Business Partner, you will have end-to-end accountability for the finance function within your allocated division and be a trusted member of the divisional leadership team. You will provide high-quality strategic and operational financial advice to Directors, General Managers, Managers, and Team Leaders, enabling informed decision-making and strong financial stewardship.
Working in close partnership with clinical and operational leaders, you will shape budgets, forecasts, business cases and financial strategies that directly support equitable, high‑quality patient care. This role offers a genuine opportunity to lead the finance agenda for your division, build financial capability across teams, and drive meaningful service and system improvements that benefit our communities.
About you
You will bring at least ten years of senior finance experience, ideally within the public sector or health, supported by strong analytical skills that enable you to lead, influence, and provide high‑quality financial advice confidently. As a Chartered Accountant (or equivalent), you demonstrate a commitment to excellent financial practice and have deep expertise in budgeting, forecasting, and guiding strategic decision‑making.
You excel at interpreting complex financial data, identifying key performance drivers, and using financial systems and BI tools to produce clear, insightful analysis. Your communication is clear and influential, helping you build trust and strong working relationships across a wide range of stakeholders.
