About the Role
This Project Accountant role is a unique opportunity to support some of largest health infrastructure projects being delivered across New Zealand. The role will business partner with project teams to provide effective and accurate financial management over project budgets, expenditure, commitments, delegations, retentions, funding drawdowns and reporting. The recognition and classificaiton of project spend is essential to maintaining precise project financials that are reported to key stakeholdersl. This will include ensuring that the use of contingencies are transparently reported , alongside escalating forecast project overspends and financial risks.
About you
You will hold a relevant tertiary qualification or have equivalent experience, with at least three years in financial management or project accounting. Your background will include working closely with project stakeholders to ensure budget holders and project managers have timely access to accurate financial reports and a clear understanding of their project's financial status. A strong grasp of financial reporting processes, combined with the ability to maintain precise and up-to-date project records, will be essential to your success in this role.
