About the Role
Health New Zealand Wairarapa is looking for a motivated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Community Nursing casual pool team. The Community Nursing team provides nursing care, advice and support to patients and their whanau across various healthcare settings. Working predominantly in palliative care you will have the opportunity to train and work within the district nursing team as well. The primary focus of this role is to assess, plan, co-ordinate, provide and evaluate quality palliative nursing care to patients in the community. There is a requirement to work across the whole of the Wairarapa.
There are casual positions working 0 - 80 hours per fortnight, as and when required. Applicants must be available at short notice to cover any shift, including weekends and evenings.
To be eligible to apply for these casual positions, you must be a New Zealand citizen or hold a permanent resident or permanent work visa status.
About the Team/Service/ Location
The Community Nursing teams delivers community and outpatient services from two locations, based in Masterton and Greytown. They provide care to people in their own homes and in outpatient clinics, and work closely alongside specialist Health NZ services, primary care and community providers. Clients cover the age spectrum and present with a diverse range of needs that require community nursing care, specialist nursing management and / or short-term home supports.
About you
- We are looking for an experienced and enthusiastic Registered Nurse with a minimum of three years' postgraduate experience, preferably in a community setting. A Postgraduate qualification within this area is desirable but not essential.
- Current annual practicing certificate with New Zealand Nursing Council
- A full clean driver's license is essential.
