Executive Assistant to the Regional Director - Hauora Māori Service

About the Role
We are seeking an Executive Assistant that will provide high quality and timely executive support to the Regional Director and their team dealing with matters of a highly confidential and sensitive nature. As an Executive Assistant, you will actively collaborate and engage with colleagues both internally and externally. The role also ensures the Regional Director and the team are well supported in the delivery of Hauora Māori services in each region.
About the Team/Service
As the Hauora Māori Service of Health New Zealand | Te Whatu Ora (Health NZ) our core role is to ensure New Zealanders have better and more timely access to health care. The devolution of resources and decision making to the regions ensures those closest to service users and whānau are involved in decisions on how healthcare is delivered. We are committed to ensuring our operating model is responsive to the needs of Māori.
About you
As an experienced Executive Assistant, you bring exceptional organisational skills, initiative, and a high level of discretion. You apply critical thinking and sound judgment in fast-paced environments. You are an effective communicator with an understanding of Te Ao Māori, ensuring your approach reflects kaupapa Māori values and aligns with the organisation's commitment to Te Tiriti o Waitangi.
You will have:
- Proven experience as an Executive Assistant role supporting senior leaders, with at least 3 years in a similar role within a large organisation
- Skilled in scheduling and business support, with strong team collaboration
- Highly proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Experience in the health sector and knowledge of Hauora Māori services and providers across the motu is advantageous
