
Programme Manager, Urgent Care - Planning, Funding and Outcomes

About the Role
As the Programme Manager, you will lead an exciting, high profile national implementation programme.
You will use your expertise in programme management to lead a large, multi-year programme of work around urgent care, including rural health. You will ensure responsive implementation approaches are designed and executed in partnership with key commissioning, provider and community leads. You will manage effective programme reporting on progress made on key initiatives, triangulated with activity and performance data, as well as risk management and escalation.
In this role you will also contribute to strategic stakeholder engagement, by developing briefings, reports, presentations and business cases.
About the Team/Service
The Urgent and Rural Care team within Planning, Funding and Outcomes is responsible for delivering on a complex programme of work including implementing the New and Improved Urgent and After-hours Care Framework, and key rural health priorities.

- Experience managing a range of competing programme priorities using programme management methodologies
- The ability to think conceptually and anticipate the impact of decisions on long-term outcomes and recommend responses in consultation with key stakeholders
- Experience at a leadership level for developing, maintaining, and influencing relationships and partnerships across sectors and organisations including with Māori and Pacific Peoples and groups
- The ability to build and maintain strong internal and external relationships at a senior level
