This is an exciting opportunity to join Health New Zealand and play a crucial role in recruiting our senior medical staff, directly contributing to achieving national health targets. As a Senior Recruitment Advisor, you will provide strategic and operational recruitment guidance, advice, and support to people leaders. You will be responsible for delivering candidate-centric recruitment services, ensuring a seamless experience for both candidates and hiring managers. Additionally, you will mentor and support junior team members and lead portfolio-specific projects and recruitment events.

Key Responsibilities:
- Responsible for the full recruitment process of Senior Medical Officers from sourcing to onboarding.
- To work closely with clinicians to understand the vacancies you are recruiting to.
- Deliver recruitment services that align with workforce strategies and professional registration requirements.
- Provide advice on sourcing and candidate attraction strategies
- Coach hiring managers on best practices in recruitment and assessment methods.
- Ensure timely communication and support for candidates throughout the recruitment process.
- Participate in health sector employment initiatives and recruitment events.
About the Team/Service/ Location
Health NZ Recruitment is transforming, and we are in a period of change. Two roles have become vacant in the SMO portfolios in the Bay of Plenty and Waikato recruitment teams.

About You: To succeed in this role, you will have:
- A tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience in a senior recruitment or talent role.
- Five years of relevant experience in an advisory position in recruitment
- Knowledge of NZ legislation and its application in a large, complex organisation.
- Experience working in the public health sector is preferred.
- Strong relationship management skills with both internal and external stakeholders.
- A commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion.
