Health Care Assistant, Te Papaioea Birthing Centre
The Opportunity
We have an exciting opportunity for you to join our Primary Birthing Centre as a permanent Health Care Assistant.
Te Papaioea Birthing Centre is Midwifery-led, situated in close proximity to Palmerston North Hospital and offers 6 rooms dedicated to labour, birth and postnatal care for low risk wahine and are well resourced to provide high quality care from our experienced team.
We are looking for an engaging and amiable Healthcare Assistant to join our team to support care provided to whānau when accessing Te Papaioea Birthing Centre. As a Health Care Assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out daily tasks, provide a high standard of environmental cleanliness and will also work in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team. You will be supported with ongoing educational opportunities specific to your role.

Hours of work will be up to 0.8 FTE (32 hours a week) working rostered rotating hours 24/7
Salary – Starting from $60,100 to $70,358 pro rata, per annum (NZNO Nursing and Midwifery SECA).
