About the Role
We are looking for a dynamic and motivated specialty clinical nurse (SCN) who will assist with ongoing delivery of the National Bowel Screening Programme within the MidCentral district. This SCN will be responsible for assisting with the assessing and arranging further investigations for participants who have received a positive bowel screening test result and contribute to the equity focus of this programme. Provision of care for patients undergoing bowel screening colonoscopy lists may be required.
About You
To be successful you will need to have:
Essential:
- Minimum of three years post registration
- Recent previous experience in Gastroenterology.
- Post graduate nursing qualification or working towards within agreed timeframes
- A current annual practicing certificate
- Demonstration of awareness of equity issues across the sector including, but not limited to Māori health
- Advanced verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to strategically & critically think
Desirable:
- Demonstration of advanced knowledge of nursing theory and practice related to bowel disease.
- Demonstration of evidence in leading and managing change (process enhancements).
