About the Role
As the Clinical Lead for the National Bowel Screening Programme, you will provide clinical leadership and oversight to ensure the delivery of a high-quality, sustainable screening service across MidCentral.
You will influence programme design and future direction while supporting clinical governance and performance. This role sits within the Regional Cancer Treatment Service portfolio, offering strong integration with wider cancer care services and opportunities to contribute to regional and national outcomes.
About you
You will bring:
- Specialist qualification as a Gastroenterologist or General Surgeon
- Experience within the National Bowel Screening Programme (or equivalent service)
- Strong understanding of NSU Bowel Screening Quality Standards
- Proven clinical leadership and stakeholder engagement capability
- Ability to influence service design, quality improvement, and system performance

The National Bowel Screening Programme sits within the Regional Cancer Treatment Service, providing a strong platform for integrated and high-quality cancer care across the region. The service is focused on continuous improvement, quality assurance, and sustainable service delivery.
